University of Oregon is the University that holds a great name to itself, a name of success. Having the need to achieve every dream and goal is the opportunity that has been greatly given to me. Taking advantage of any situation that can only benefit one's life should be done. Learning through multiple situations I have realized that I have only one life to live. That one life should be lived with determination, motivation, and the simplicity of happiness. Happiness is knowing that I have taken all of my opportunities and gone into them with motivation, determination and no regret as I know that I have achieved the accomplishment of an education.

It has always been taught that education is key to life and in order to survive in this world you must have a college education. To many that is an idea constantly repeated and holds no meaning to them. Hearing a statement like that I believe that a college education and an open mind along with it is a powerful person. I am a women that has been underestimated by many people because of what a statistic showed them. I a a women of determination and I see life as a once in a life time opportunity and I refuse to not live it but also refuse to live it the wrong way. I have a need to pursue my dreams, a need to show that with my mind success was made. When It comes to the University of Oregon I know that I can bring many great aspects when attending school here. I have skills that have helped me learn great communication with others and my love for volunteering has become so much more that actually holding and building organizations to benefit everybody is truly what I love to do.

There is a lot to do in this life and a lot of change that can be done with such little time. There is no one stopping my generation from making the change to bring equality and helping others with food and clothing. With this short amount of time I will succeed and I will help others as receive my college education and soon become a doctor. Showing that I am capable of being a Hispanic women who is powerful and knowledgeable I will demonstrate to others that living your life has a big part of helping the community. Change is needed and we are all capable of doing the actions to make what is needed, happen. I, Karina Carbajal, is capable to bring change of society for greater equality and an open mind to the University of Oregon.

Dear Stefani Garza,

I am interested in working and volunteering on the floor of your children's facility. I am very interested in the medical field along with the fact that I love giving company and caring for others. I have had experience with hospice patients that soon developed minds of five year olds as I saw my mother go through those side affects was a hospice cancer patient.

I understand the jobs and goals of the hospital workers and would love to have a set schedule to go in and help around. Having the skills of great communication and patients I feel that I would be a great companion to full fill this position. Many patients do not know or understand what is going or simply want to feel normal. Having to have patients undergo such great triumphs in their lives can be hard for many my age to understand. I have had experience through visiting other children facilities and observing of the care that the workers give.

It is a great passion of mine to help others and know that in a sense they don't feel alone. I want to soon achieve and get my degree as a Neonatal Physician and Working with kids as soon as possible will be a great way to enter this specific field. I would love to assist doctors and hang out with the kids giving them someone to talk to and enjoy company with one another.

Sincerly,

Karina Carbajal
