SHINE BRIGHT LIKE NEON

By Michael Horsford

Block 2 advance physical science

Neon is used for light. it has 10 protons and electrons. theirs 11 neutrons  in neon.the electron configuration is 1S22S22P6. atomic mass is 21.5645, atomic number is 21 to find how much neutrons you dived mass number/atomic number. atomic number tells you how much protons electrons(10). now here is come facts about neon Neon is a very inert element. Neon forms an unstable hydrate. In a vacuum discharge tube, neon glows reddish orange. Of all the rare gases, the discharge of neon is the most intense at ordinary voltages and currents. It is present in the atmosphere as 1 part in 65000.Liquid neon has over 40 times more refrigerating capacity than liquid helium, and more than 3 times that of liquid hydrogen.  State of matter (solid, liquid, gas): Gas

Family name: 8 (noble gases)

Names of family members: Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypton, Xenon, and Radon

Period: 2

Uses for element: used to make neon signs, television tubes, Liquid neon is used as a cryogenic refrigerant

Does the element combine with other elements to form compounds?: it is very non-reactive. So much so, that it doesn't form compounds with anything

Boiling Point: -410.94°F

Melting Point: -415.46°F

Freezing Point: -415.46°F

REMEMBER SHINE BRIGHT LIKE NEON

there's really no defensive  need for neon the only thing it can do be is bright in their eyes.

yo  can trade neon to give people light. functional need you need it to see. you dont necessarily  need it to live
