CPR


For Adult CPR you need to-

1. You have to Check the Scene for any dangerous objects or things that my harm the patient

2. You need to check the person/ see if the are ok

3.CALL 9-1-1

4.Give 30 chest compression: 1 1/2 to 2 inches deeps, 2 hands on the sternum using your heel of your hand at a rate of 100 per min.

5. Give 2 rescue breaths



Child CPR

1. check the scene

2. check the person

3. call 9-1-1

4. give 30 compressions: 1-2 hands,1/3 depth 1-1 1/2 inches, at a rate of 100 per min

5. give 2 breaths

Infant CPR

1. check the scene

2. check baby

3. call 9-1-1

4.give 30 compressions: use 2 fingers, 1/3 of chest, middle of chest at a rate of 100 per min

5.give 2 breaths

When to Stop CPR

1.When other help arrives

2.When they Respond

3. When you use the AED

4.If the scene becomes unsafe

5.If you're to exhausted to continue

Adult Unconscious Choking

1. check the scene

2. check the person

3. call 9-1-1

4. give your 30 chest compressions

5. look for object causing choking, if object there do a finger sweep for object

6. if no object give 2 rescue breaths

7.if breaths don't go in re-position and try again

Child Unconscious Choking

1. check the scene

2. check the person

3. call 9-1-1

4. give your 30 chest compressions with 1 or 2 hands

5. look for object causing choking, if object there do a finger sweep for object

6. if no object give 2 rescue breaths

7. if breaths don't go in re-position and try again

Infant Unconscious Choking

1. check the scene

2. check the baby

3. call 9-1-1

4. give your 30 chest compressions with 2 fingers

5. look for object causing choking, if object there do a finger sweep with your pinky finger

6. if no object give to rescue breaths

7. if breaths don't go in re-position and try again

Adult/Child Conscious Choking

1. check the scene

2. ask the person if they are choking and tell them you can help

3. have someone call 9-1-1

4. give 5 chest thrusts make sure each is a separate try, if no object comes out keep doing it

Baby conscious Choking

1. check scene

2. check the baby

3.have someone call 9-1-1

4. support the baby's head and turn it over and give it 5 back slaps in between the shoulder blades

5. turn baby by supporting it head and look for object, if no object lay the baby over on your arm and give chest compressions

6. look for object, if no object repeat process

Bleeding

1. check scene

2. check person

3. have some one call 9-1-1

4. apply pressure to cut or wound

5. apply guas and wrap a bandage around person's arm and tie a not

6. if it bleeds through add another bandage don't take it off because that will start the process over
