Nicolaus was born on February 19, 1473. Nicolaus Copernicus did not favor absolute rule but he did go to church and practiced his religion. He was Roman Catholic. He was born in Torun, Poland.

Copernicus's friends could be any scientists that specialize in the planets and the sun. Like Galileo,Edwin  Hubble, William Herschel, Friedrich Bessel, and Johannes Kepler.

Nicholas Copernicus was a famous Renaissance astronomer, translator, artist, physicist, and mathematician. He formulated the idea that the sun was at the center of the universe, not the earth, and where the planets orbit the sun. Instead of the sun and all other planets orbiting the Earth. He developed his own heliocentric model of the planets, which is how he discovered the sun at the center. Although other scientists had similar ideas, Copernicus was the first to be the most detailed and accurate representation. Although the church and other people didn't always agree with him, he always supported his theory, which, in fact, was correct. Finally, he published a book called De revolutionibus orbium coelestium which is known as one of the most important books ever written in the field of astronomy.

Personal Info- He was the son of prominent wealthy parents, and had two sisters and a brother. Both of his parents died when he was only twelve. He then had to live with his uncle, who was a priest, until he was an adult. He only pursued his academic interests during his free time, he mostly worked at a church, a job arranged by his uncle. Also, he wrote a book which was banned shortly until the 17th century, when the ban was lifted.
