May 24, 2015

Good evening Emily,

I am applying for the position at available at the Sunland Park Mall Hot Topic as an associate.

As I mentioned before I am currently attending high school and hope to soon get my masters the arts. i HAve shopped at Hot Topic since I was very young. My Parents were very wrapped into the rock scene and found what they liked at the store so often shopped there. I have gone not only for the band merchandise but also the Disney and other genres offered at the store. I would go in and use any money i had there after gawking at the clothing and various items at the store for a few hours.

Now, I understand that many people just like me want the chance to work at such an amazing judgmental free zone but I think that i could contribute to the already amazing faculty by being given the chance to help.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and I apologize for the inconvenience of not being able to print out my resume earlier.

Persuasive Essay

Adams State University is one of the best Universities in Colorado with an excellent art program to offer. Just these two details of the school have made a major impact on me as a student in search of a place for an education. I would be an excellent asset to the school and its programs if I were accepted due to my strong dedication to both the academics as well as the arts.

All throughout my middle school and high school life, I stuck to the arts as well as managed an A-B average in my classes. I continued to be in the Pre-AP/AP program all through high school as well as continue in the GT program since elementary, Being in both of these programs have taught me time management and my own ability as an individual to show my intellect and hold myself on my own accord. I have found out my capability as a student to find the time and patients needed to succeed in the life style I want for myself.

In addition to my academic history is the one in the arts. At some point in my education I have kept in a class of art as well of the fine arts whether it be theater, choir or orchestra. With all of these i learned to discipline and maturity needed to succeed in the fine arts through concerts and performances. They all taught me to not only hold my own but, if necessary, hold the ones of others. I became able to manage both academic success but success in the arts. Although i stayed in more than one of the arts, i always found visual art my favorite. It gives people a much greater chance of self expression with any media they please with any message that could be interpreted in many different ways.

I as a student wanting to further her education with only the best, I believe I would be an asset to Adams State University, bringing in the determination and drive for success needed. With my history in both the arts and academics, I could assist the entire school in meeting a high standard and success rate.
