Daren Vanderley's Journey In The World Of Car Racing

Daren Vanderley is a young car racer from Alabama, US, who has repeatedly proven his exceptional racing skills by winning a number of championships one after another. Daren entered the world of racing at a really young age and by the time he was thirteen, he had several wins under his belt. He won his first championship at the age of seven at J&J Speedway, which is a dirt track in Southern Alabama. In 2001, he won the championship again, after the track was paved and became Sunny South Raceway. After winning his first feature race at the age of eleven, Daren spent the following two years traveling the southeast, learning new tracks, making laps, and competing on road courses in the Pro Division of the Skip Barber Formula Dodge Series. In addition to all this, he attended two care control clinics offered by Skip Barber Racing to fine tune his racing skills.

In the year 2006, Daren Vanderley, along with his team entered his first Pro Late Model race at the San Antonio Speedway ASA event and recorded a sixth qualified position. In 2007, he and his Dad, started with a major rebuild project by completely disassembling a car and then rebuilding it as the Cell Phones For Soldiers Pro Late Model Ford #2. The project turned out to be a huge success as the Ford they had built broke the track record for Pro Late Models, when Daren put it on the pole at Mobile. The same year at Snowflake 100, he made his #2 the #1 Pro Late Model of the race by taking the pole position from sixty three other qualifiers. The year 2008, for the racer, began with the 100-lap season opener at Five Flags Speedway, in which he secured the fifth position. The next few years too brought many big wins for Daren.

Despite his involvement in auto racing, Daren Vanderley never ignored his studies. In fact, he was one of the most favorite students of his teachers at school and college. While pursing his secondary education from UMS-Wright Preparatory School, he even received Spirit of Auburn Presidential Scholarship to attend the Honors College at the Auburn University. Recently in May, 2014, he successfully completed his bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering from the prestigious University.
