The Water Cycle

Chapter 3

This picture is the water cycle. In the water cycle, it rains or snows, which is called precipitation. then the water stays on the ground as ground water, or runs off mountains. The water flows in lakes, oceans and streams. Then the water evaporates which means it vaporizes and goes into the air. When the water is on plants, it is called transpiration where the water vaporizes and goes in the sky. Then comes condensation. Condensation is when warm air rises and cools so it can not hold any water vapor. The water vapor forms cloud droplets that are rain and the cycle starts over again.
