Nitrogen....You Need It

Going to a new Planet, you need Nitrogen!

What is Nitrogen

Nitrogen is a chemical element with symbol N and atomic number 7. Elemental nitrogen is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, and mostly inert diatomic gas at standard conditions, constituting 78.09% by volume of Earth's atmosphere

Why you need it?

Going to a new planet you need this it forms most of atmosphere!  You need it to live and survive on your planet.  The atmosphere is 21% oxygen and the rest is almost entirely nitrogen. We as humans would over "oxygenate" our blood to deadly levels if nitrogen was not here. Our lungs do not absorb the nitrogen, but it keeps the ratio at the right level. So if you go to a new planet you would definitely need nitrogen to live.  It also helps with protecting yourself. It can be used in explosives, which can be used on your new planet too.

Common Uses

Nitrogen is used a lot in our everyday lives. It is used in the making of light bulbs, laughing gas and even explosives.  It is used in TNT and Ammonium Nitrate.

Rank 'em

I choose five stars for biological need because if we didn't have nitrogen we would have to much oxygen!

I choose two stars for Social need because people would probably want to trade with you.

I didn't think Nitrogen was needed functionally.

I choose four stars for defensive need because it is used to make many explosives.
