CPR

ADULT CPR

1. check the scene and make sure its okay.

2. check the person, tap their collarbone

3. activate ems, call 911

4.give 30 chest compressions at a rate of 100 per minute, place on the center of chest between nipples press at least 2 inches

5.open the airway

6.tilt the head and give 2 breathes

7. repeat the cycle

                                                            

Child CPR

1. check the scene, make sure its safe

2.check the person, tap their collarbone

3.activate ems

4.compressions, 30 compressions at 1/3 of the chest. at rate of 100 per minute. 1 or 2 hands between nipples on the chest

5. open the airway

6. give 2 breaths

7. repeat compressions and breaths

infant CPR

1. check the scene

2. tap the childs feet for response

3. activate ems

4. compressions give 30 compressions at the rate of 100 using 2 fingers and 1/3 of the chest

5. open the airway

6. give 2 breaths

7.repeat compressions until ems arrives


adult unconscious choking

1. check the scene

2. check the person

3. activate ems

4.give 30 chest compressions at rate of 100 per minute, 2 inches of the chest

5.open the airway and check for an object, if you see something swab it with your finger

6. give rescue breaths

7. repeat the cycle until ems arrives

child unconscious choking

1. check the scene

2. check person

3. call 911

4. give 30 chest compressions

5.open the airway and check for an object, if seen swab with a finger

6. give rescue breaths

7. repeat cycle of cpr until ems arrives


infant unconscious choking

1. check the scene

2. check the person

3. activate ems

4.give 30 chest compressions with 2 fingers 1/3 of the chest

5.open the airway for an object if seen swab with pinky finger

6. give rescue breaths

7.repeat the cycle until ems arrives


adult conscious choking

1. check the scene

2. ask them if they are choking

3.activate ems

4. stand behind victim, place the flat side of fist just above the belly button, grab the fist of your hand

5. pull inward and upward with your fist until object comes out or person goes unconscouis

child conscious choking

1. check the scene

2. ask them if they are choking

3. activate ems

4. stand behind victim, place the flat side of fist just above the belly button, grab the fist of your hand

5.

infant conscious choking

1. check the scene

2. check to see if they are choking

3. activate ems

4.support the infants face and place body on forearm

5.give 5 back blows between shoulder blade

6.turn over baby on forearm and give 5 chest compressions

7.continue until baby goes unconscious or ems arrives, or if object comes out

bleeding

1. check the scene

2. check the patient

3. activate ems

4. use a gauh, wrap

5. put gauh over bleeding, tell person to keep pressure on gauh

6. wrap the arm in bandage and tie it to the bandage
