Breaking Up with Ohio University
Dear Ohio University,
Let me just start this out by saying that I love you, OHIO. I really do. Our time together has been incredible. You have introduced me to new friends, whom I will never forget, and you have brightened my future.
Yes, we have both brought our fair share of baggage to the table; you, with your crazy finals weeks and enormous amounts of homework, and me, with my bad study habits and procrastination skills. BUT, we still managed to stay together for four great years. I have loved every minute of being your Bobcat (and Hilltopper), however, the time has come that we must part our separate ways.
It’s not you, it’s me. I know, I know; cliche, but it’s true. You’re a great University and I know that together we have accomplished some pretty awesome stuff, but I have to move on with my life. Graduation is right around the corner (May 3rd to be exact), and I cannot stay with you. We both knew this would happen eventually.
This is tough on the both of us. It’s not that I want to leave you and all of your beauty, but you are becoming another part of life that I have to move on from. I know it will take time for us both to heal, but it’s not like you are losing me forever. I will come back for Grad School, and maybe after we have done some growing up, we can be together again.
It hurts now, but once Fall comes and you see all of the new Students that are waiting to make you apart of their lives, you will be happy again.
I will never forget you, Ohio University.
All of my love,
