Nagaina would tell the story as if Rikki was the bad guy and her family were innocent victims. All that she wanted was to have the bungalow to herself so that they could have enough room for her babies. Nagaina feels as though she has nothing left, her husband and all of her babies are dead. I think at that moment in the story is felt useless, neglected, and abandoned. Her and her family's experience with Rikki- Tikki- Tavi was bad.
In Nagaina's perspective she and her husband did what they had to do to survive like eating other animals. They're plan to get the bungalow was to benefit their needs and wants. Rikki is a threat to them and they know it. The plan was to kill all the humans which would lead to Rikki leaving. His departure would be a better option than a fight against him, they are afraid of him.
Nearing the climax, Nagaina is brought with news that she only has one egg left out of the rest of her family. She pleads for mercy ands make one final deal, though Rikki declines it. I bet she felt helpless and defeated at that moment, she was then killed.
