Diwali and Vaisakhi
Diwali is the Hindu festival of light; it celebrates good over evil. Diwali is also the beginning of the Hindu new year. The festival is celebrated for five days, where the third day is celebrated as the main Diwali festival or 'The Festival of Lights' Different colorful varieties of fireworks are always associated with this festival. On this auspicious day, people light up diyas and candles all around their house. They perform Laxmi Puja in the evening and seek divine blessings of Goddess of Wealth. They also give gifts to one another.
Vaisakhi is the beginning of the Sikh year. They bring money donations and pray as the holy book is readin the temple . They celebrate by first praying then carrying on with a parade of floats and music. It celebrates the founding of Sihkisim, which is a combination of Islam and Hindo.
