New England Colonies: New Hampshire
New Hampshire was founded in 1638 by John Mason. The climate had shot mild summers and long cold winters. The geography had low coast, hills, mountains and plateau. There was no religious freedom in areas inhabited by the Puritans. Major industries were agriculture, potatoes, and fishing. The colony manufactured textiles, and shipbuilding. Farming was difficult because of the poor soil so the wheat could really grow. The natural resources were fishing, whaling and forests. The colony concentrated on shipbuilding and exporting rum.
