Math-translations, reflections, rotations, and Dialations
Rotation is the rotating of the image around the origin (0,0), without changing the image itself.
Translation is the moving of an image to a different area of the coordinate plane. Translation does not change the shape or size of the image.
A reflection is mirroring the image across either the y-axis, x-axis, y=x axis, or y=-x axis. A reflection does not change the shape or size of the image.
A dilation is the enlarging or shrinking of a given image. A dilation uses multiplication, either with whole numbers or decimals. A dilation does not change the shape of an image, but it does change the size of an image.
