The United States of America is located on the North America Continent. It is bordered by Canada to the North and Mexico to the South. The Atlantic Ocean is to the East, and the Pacific Ocean is to the West. The United States have various mountain ranges, coastal plains, and deserts in the Western part of the country. The country has 50 states and the total population is 318.9 million. The United States is a democracy, meaning that the people elect their officials to represent them. The President of the United States is Barack Obama. In the United States, people use the U.S. Dollar. One U.S. Dollar is equivalent to 15 Mexican Pesos.
In the United States men typically wear suits to work. Outside of work, they wear t-shirts or polo style shirts. Sports themed shirts are common in the United States. Women wear dress pants or skirts and dresses to work and jeans and leggings outside of work with various styles of shirts. In the United States fast food is very common. People typically eat hamburgers and french fries from fast food chains like McDonald's. For more traditional meals, Americans will eat steak and baked potatoes. Food is also a common theme in traditions and celebrations in the United States. Two common celebrations in the United States are Christmas and the Fourth of July. At Christmas, Americans celebrate by going to church, spending time with family, and exchanging gifts. The Fourth of July is a day dedicated to celebrating America's independence. Many people will have cook-outs and light up the night sky with fire works.
