The cotton gin was invented in 1793.It was created by Eli hitney. The cotton gin is used to pull cotton fibers from the cotton seeds.Institutionalized the cotton industry—and slavery—in the American South.

Interchangeable parts

eli whitney used them to assemble muskets in the first years of the 19th century. Interchangeable parts allowed unskilled workers to produce large numbers of weapons quickly and at lower cost, and made repair and replacement of parts infinitely easier.

Transistor

It was invented by 3 people William Shockley, John Bardeen and Walter Brattain. It was invented December 16, 1947. Transistors are devices that control the movement of electrons. It helps us today because most of the items we use need to have transistor for them to work.

The microchip was invented by 2 people Jack Kilby and Robert Noyce. It was invented March 24, 1959. The microchip is really called a Integrated circuit. Everything that is an electronic uses a microchip.

Telegraph/Telephone

The telegraph was made by Samuel Morse in 1830s and 1840s, the telephone was made by Alexander Graham Bell and Elisha Gray in the 1870s. We no longer use the telegraph anymore, we still use the telephone and in proved it.

Television

Many people worked alone trying to invent the television but the first one to make it was Philo farnsworth on September 7, 1927. When the television was made it was in black and white, and small screen but the whole television was big. Today we still use them but now color and thinner also bigger screens.
