The most important features to the ancient Egyptians were the Nile River, the Mediterranean Sea, the Libyan Desert, the Arabian Desert, and the Negev desert. The three deserts provided some protection from invasions from other civilizations nearby the Egyptians. The Nile River and the Mediterranean Sea helped the ancient Egyptians because it allowed them to trade easily. Also the Nile allowed easy transportation up and down the river because the river blew one way and the current went the other.
