Covalent - mostly between nonmetals, not as hard as ionic, easier to melt, non conductive as solid liquid, and when dissolved

Metallic - bond between two metals, conduct electricity well in solid and liquid, bendable, melt at lower temperature than ionic, does not dissolve in water
