Mount Tambora

It is located on Northern Sumbawa Island of Indonesia. It is known as the most dangerous volcano in the world. It's height is 14,000 feet. It is one of the tallest peaks in Indonesia. The shape of the volcano is composite and conical. It is in the category of strato volcano in the category of volcanos. It was formed around 60,000 years ago. It has erupted about 5 or 6 times since it was formed. In 1815 it erupted and that year and caused the year without a summer. The eruption killed about 12,000 people and about 60,000 people died from starvation and epidemic diseases. This eruption was the most ferocious one. It is now silent but the geologists still consider it to be active. It is becoming a very popular tourists destination for people that likes to travel to dangerous places.
