my favorite work of art that we have covered this year would probably be the doryphoros by polykleitos. the reasoning behind this is that this sculpture set the tone and style for human depiction for hundreds of years after. the influence of this piece truly can be identified in roman sculpture, and even found in the Renaissance.

Hello pals. My favorite work we have studied this year would likely be Tintoretto's Last Supper. I find it particularly attractive because along the depictions of the Last Supper, this one stands out to me. This oil painting is beautifully dominated by a dark hue with a brilliant sprawl of light illuminating the scene and head of Christ. Paintings with gold features draw my eye and I find this one helpful because I can compare it to other works in the a Renaissance, and beyond the time period due to its theme.

So! You guys were able to narrow it down to one work of art that you really like. The pressure is too much for me but if I had to pick something... it would be something by Paul Klee. Check him out.
