We continue to work on comprehension, accuracy and fluency. We have spent time “rating our reading” by using a thumbs up or thumbs down for if it’s read with a “talking voice vs. robot voice” or if it was read accurately or inaccurately. We emphasized the importance of rereading no matter how many times it takes to get it just right!
Our Christmas Around the World has provided us with many writing opportunities. Students will complete various writing activities that apply to the country being studied. Their true imagination and creativity will shine during these fun holiday-themed lessons!
“Christmas Around the World” where students will “travel” with their suitcases and passports to four different countries. They will learn about how each country celebrates Christmas and work on activities that go along with their celebration. It has been a fun week!
We continue to graph in our weather journals. Our weather winner during November was cloudy. Let’s see what December brings!
- Classroom Holiday Party donation requests have gone home in Boomerangs. Please send in items ASAP. Our party is on Thursday, 12/18 @ 2-3pm. All are welcome to stop by for some holiday fun! If you do stop by for our party, you may take your child home before the dismissal bell :) There is a regular full Friday following our party day.
- This is the last newsletter and homework packet for the month of December. There will be no homework over the holiday break.
