Happy Memorial Day weekend! I hope you are all finding the time to enjoy with your families! My apologies for not getting this out to you on Friday, but the end of the year responsibilites seem to be piling up! I can't believe that I only have 11 more days with your children! It makes me sad, but I have enjoyed having the opportunity to be one of the first educators to touch their lives. Thank you for blessing me with your beautiful children!

Your children continue to amaze me with their solid growth in literacy. When I look at where they started back in August to where they are at now, I am completely blown away! To continue with their success, reading daily with your children this summer will be extremely important! Keep up the good work!

As our math lessons come to an end, we are working on higher level thinking problems while also spending time reviewing our math concepts taught this year. Continuing to practice the basic math facts over the summer will be a great way for your child to be ready to start 1st grade off on the right foot.

All About Habitats

We have spent a lot of time learning about all of the different habitats that animals can live in. I don't think your children want this unit to end! When one fun habitat finishes, another one is discovered! They are doing a fabulous job learning about the plants and animals and all the different adaptations they make to be able to live in their habitats.
