Louis Armstrong was born on August 4,1901 in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1902, his father abandoned his family and his mother left their children with grandmother, Josephine Armstrong and Uncle Isaac. In 1912, he dropped out of school and earned a living singing on the streets of New Orleans with a quartet and also learned to play the trumpet. His most famous recorded song was "What a Wonderful World". In 1937, became the first black to host a national radio broadcast. On July 6,1971, Louis Armstrong died in New York City.
In my opinion, Louis Armstrong, is one of the greatest trumpet players. He was very talented in music and acting. He was very well known by many people, especially those in New Orleans for his music. He was one great musician. He represents a big part of American history.
