Button Gwinnett

Button Gwinnett was born in England in 1735. Gwinnett played a significant role in Georgia's history. Gwinnett also served as chairman of the comittee that wrote the georgia constitution of 1777.

Gwinnett moved to Georgia in 1765 to enter the political scene. Gwinnett became governor after the death of the previous governor. Gwinnett died shortly after signing the Declaration of Independence , so he has very few signatures. Since Gwinnett dies shortly after, his signing in the Declaration of Independence is one of the most valuable signings sice he died right after due to political rivarlry.
