Radiography

Radiography is an imaging technology that uses electromagnetic radiation and other visible light to see the internal structure of a non transparent object; the human body. Radiography is a technique for generating an x-ray image for the purpose of planning of radiation treatment. Radiograph can be used  to diagnose or treat patients by taking pictures of their skeletal structure to "assess the presence or absence of disease"

This x-ray procedure carries the same risk as any other x-ray procedure. The radiation dosed to each person varies between each individual. Some risks of radiation are

1. Developing cancer or cataracts later in life

2. A "disturbance" in the growth or development of a fetus when preformed on a pregnant woman, or a women of child bearing age 1
