Suppose you are the owner of the Sizzlin’ Sauce Company. Your company makes two different kinds of sauce, Red Hot Sauce(x) and Scorchin’ Hot Sauce(y).

As the owner of an successful business, you want to minimize costs, maximize profit, and keep customers satisfied by filling orders promptly.

Activity 1:

To fill an order for Sizzlin’ Sauce sauces, you bought 1050 green peppers and 1200 hot chili peppers.

The coordinates I chose was (0,0). You should have 1050 green peppers and 1200 hot chili peppers.

Activity 2:

$1.20/pint profit on Red Hot Sauce.

$1.00/pint on Scorchin' Hot Sauce.

Maximum Profit: $255

Activity 3:

Grocery Prices:

1 pint of tomato sauce with onions: $2.20

1 green pepper: $00.57

1 hot chili pepper: $00.50

Cost of Red Hot Sauce per pint : $7.05

Cost of Scorchin' Hot Sauce per pint: $8.48

Sell price:
Red hot Sauce: $8.25 per pint
Scorchin' Hot Sauce: $9.48 per pint

Activity 4:

You should make 75 pints of sauce each week to sell to the stores.
