How to be safe on the internet!

Websites like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter can be fun ways to send messages to your classmates after school, share pictures with out-of-state family members, and let your friends know a little bit more about you. But these sites can also be dangerous. It can lead to bullying, or in this case cyber bullying. Fortunately, there are ways to prevent yourself from getting cyber bullied.

1. Personal Information

Don’t give out your personal information such as your address, telephone number, and password. But most people wouldn’t give out information like that.

2. Think Before You Do

You should think before you post anything online, because once it’s on the internet, there’s no going back.

3. Be Careful On The Internet

Never speak or try to be friends with anyone you meet on the internet, because they might end up to be a pedophile or a murderer.

4. Be Careful What You Download

Never download anything unless you ask your parents for the ok to download the software. If you don’t ask your parents and it is a virus, it might jeopardize your parent’s privacy.

Lastly, you have to know the risks you will have to face when on FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, etc, and you just have to ignore it and carry on with your day.
