In the 50s, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, and Eddie Fisher were all famous pop music artists. Some of their songs include, 'I've got you under my skin', 'Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes', and 'I'm Walking Behind You.'

In the 80s, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Whitney Houston were all famous pop music artists. Some of their songs include, 'Thriller', 'Vogue', and 'I Will Always Love You'.

These two decades differ because the 50s style music is slower, or not as hip, and the 80s is fast, and up beat. Although, they are both considered pop.

In the 50s, people liked to wear poodle skirts, The Korean War was taking place, and Dwight D. Eisenhower was the president. Also, another genre of music that were popular was Rock and roll.

In the 80s, people liked to dress in neon colored clothing, the first space shuttle, Columbia, lifted off, Ronald Raegan was the president. Another genre of music that was popular in this time period was Gospel.
