The Statue of Liberty was created on October 28, 1886. It was later on restored on July 4, 1986. The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the U.S. and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. Frederick Auguste Bartholdi was a French sculptor born in Alsace. He created many monumental sculptures, his most famous work was the Statue of Liberty.
In the first line a simlie is being used by saying "Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame".
Also Imagery is definetly being used in this poem! Beautiful imagery!
The theme of this poem is telling how The Statue of Liberty shows the freedom of us people and how we stand together in one nation under God! The Statue of Liberty is a good way of indicating all of the things the United States has been threw to make it what it is today.
Visiting Lady Liberty
You can visit this statue anytime of the year. I would think it would be gorgeous with it snowing outside while visiting this place! In my opinion I would think it would be cool to take a picture with this extravagant art work!
