The Indians hosted their only home meet of the season on Saturday, October 1, 2016. The Indian girls dominated the competition (23 points) besting Emmetsburg by 12 points. Earlier this season the Indians defeated Emmetsburg by just one point at the Emmetsburg meet. South Central Calhoun finished a distant third (86 points).

Individually, Jill Vonnahme walked about with the gold, running an impressive 19:18.97. Following closely behind were Grace Meyer, Elle Ruffridge, and Faith Meyer rounding out the top four. Katie Berte ran an outstanding race, finishing thirteenth while Addie Duitscher and Annika Duitscher finished fifteenth and nineteenth respectively.

The Indians have endured a rainy season, so for many of the girls this was only their third meet of the season. They were thrilled to have the opportunity to compete in front of the home crowd. With the conference meet coming soon and regional qualifying; the Indians are looking forward to getting a few more meets under their belts.
