On April 12, 2015  in Baltimore the police arrested 25 year old Freddie Grey for having a illegal switch blade, Which he was not using.  The medical investigation found that Freddie Gray had sustained the injuries while in transport. On May 1, 2015, the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office filed charges against 6 police officers after they received a medical examiner’s report that ruled Freddie Gray’s death a homicide. This is against the the 8th and 14th amendments. The police were not allowed to do any cruel or unusual punishment to Freddie Grey. Even though he is African American he is still known as a citizen and has equal rights.
