Goal: Preventing Violence & Increasing Opportunity for Indianapolis Youth!
A multifaceted strategic planning process has begun in the city of Indianapolis! You are invited to participate in the citywide Youth Violence Prevention Call-To-Action from 6-8 p.m. this Saturday, August 17th at Ivy Tech Community College's Culinary Center. The goal of the Call-To-Action is to review the steps, types of information, staff skills and participation, and other resources your organization or agency can contribute to this comprehensive planning effort.
Youth violence is too complex to assume that any one agency can resolve this problem alone. With the support of the US Department of Justice and a group of ten cities representing the National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention, concerned community groups will engage in the development of a robust, long-term and comprehensive strategy to impact youth violence and youth opportunity across the concepts of prevention, intervention, enforcement and reentry.
We hope that you will consider being represented by attending and forwarding this opportunity to parents, youth and other stakeholders who believe every life is valuable to our community. If you have questions, feel free to contact me in the form below or via phone to 317-376-8664.
