A day in the life of a Vietnamese student
The country I choose was Vietnam. The student's name is Bui Du Binh. He is 11 years old and is in the fifth grade. Bui Duy Binh live with his mom, dad, and younger brother in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
He gets up at 5:30 in the morning. Bui brushes his teeth and gets and gets ready for school. Usually, his mom makes his breakfast, but sometimes he buys his food from a street vendor.
Every Monday, his school day starts with a salute to Ho Chi Minh. Ho Chi Minh's pictures hang in almost every school and house in Vietnam. After the students salute, that sing songs that honor the country.
End of school day- 11:00 a.m.
School ends because there are not enough teachers. Half of the students go in the morning, while the other half goes in the afternoon. Bui takes a taxi home because his parents work.
Afternoon routine- 12:00 p.m.
Bui gets home and waters the plants on their rooftop garden. When his mother gets home, they eat lunch, and then Bui reads or takes a nap.
When Bui wakes up from his nap, he eats a snack and starts studying. Sometimes, he'll take a walk in his neighborhood. He stays close to home because the crowded streets can be dangerous.
He helps prepare dinner with his mom. The usual meal is tofu, chicken wings, fried squid, and french fries.
A day in the life of me, Bry LaGreca.
Morning routine- 6:00 a.m.
I wake up at 6:00 a.m on most days. I take a shower in the morning. Then I eat breakfast, then brush my teeth. After I brush my teeth, I put in my contacts. Either my mom or dad takes me to school in the truck or car.
At 8:00 a.m, I go into the gym at school and sit with my friends. I sit in there for about 10 minutes, and then go to first period. In first period, we say the pledge of allegiance before starting class.

At 2:45, I leave school. Then I go home and get ready for my sports practice.
Ar 4:30, I leave for my sports practices. On Monday and Wednesdays, I got to soccer practice. On Tuesdays, I have basketball games. I usually have softball practice throughout the week.
At 9:30, I get ready for bed. I brush my teeth, take out my contacts, and brush my hair. After that, I crawl into bed and go to sleep.
Vietnam daily life compared to the American daily life.
The student from Vietnam wakes up earlier than me. Sometimes he buys his own breakfast, while my mom makes mine or I make my own. The Vietnamese students end school at 11:00 a.m, while my school ends at 2:45. The Vietnamese usually eats their lunch at home, while we eat it while we are at school. Bui goes home and does his chores. I go home and get ready for my practices. Bui also helps his parents make his dinner, which consists of tofu, chicken wings, fried squid, and french fries. Our meals usually consist of some type of meat, vegetables, and grain. Bui goes to bed at 8:00, while I go to bed around 9:30 p.m.
