James Armistead was born into Slavery and was freed by Marquise de Lafayette after entering the American Revolution because of such an success and an important model he played during that time. He was one of the most valiant Slaves there lived. His Job was to Spy on the British in the Revolutionary War and report back to the Patriots about enemy movements, because of him the Patriots were able to surrender the Britain in Yorktown leading them in Victory.
