Chromebook Training

Below are some training opportunities for teachers at MSD of Steuben County. Since this is the first year for kindergarten through second grade to utilize iPads and for third through fifth grade to use Chromebooks, most of the training opportunities are targeted for beginners. More advanced training will take place after the school year begins.

Chromebook Basics

This course will focus on the very basics of using a Chromebook. For those that are newbies with using a Chromebook or have very limited experience with Chrome OS, this event will help alleviate some stress and improve your workflow with the device.

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is a tool that is used to organize digital assignments and streamline the workflow between you and the students. With it you can create assignments, receive their work, and provide feedback for their work.

Creation Tools

The Chromebook contains a plethora of opportunities for students to express their learning creatively. In this session, we will chat about some of my favorite tools for young learners to create their own content. Some of those include: eMaze, Tackk, Pic Monkey, Snagit, Scratch, Wevideo, and much more.

Q and A

During this time, this is a good place to ask questions and chat about this coming year. Here you can either get to know me or even throw ideas out to your peers about the organization of your classroom devices, etc. Feel free if you just want to communicate your technology integration needs. Feel free to come and go as you please.
