1) Prefix is something is added in front of the word. For example, -dis as for respectful then put it together and it is disrespectful , -un as for unhappy.
2) Suffix is something added at the ending of a word. For example, -ly as for kind then put it at the end and it is unhappy, -ies drop the y and add ies like fly to flies.
3) Root words is a word that is form to a new word. For examples, -photo when u added another word like graph to photo it is photograph.
