The Fault in Our Stars

By: John Green

                                                         Protagonist: Hazel Grace

                                                               Antagonist: Cancer

"It's a metaphor you see: you put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing."

I would recommend this book mainly  to teenagers but adults too and those with cancer because it just shows that you don't have to be perfect to have a "perfect" love story with your significant other. You should find someone that accepts you with your flaws and imperfections. There should never come a time to where you should have to change yourself for someone or settle for the less. You need to know what you're worth and never let someone run all over you, you need to stand up for yourself. Don't let someone push you past your limits.

Theme: Sacrifice is a Part of Love

This quote directly relates to the book because it shows that a guy or girl doesn't have to be perfect and you should accept him/her for who they are not for who you want them to be. And as long as they're perfect in your eyes that is all that matters.
