Laura Murphy St Charles IL - A love of gardening
After a long shift at St. Charles General Hospital, emergency room RN Laura Murphy of St. Charles, IL enjoys digging in her garden and watching her plants thrive and grow. “Gardening makes me so happy—I love planting a seed, nurturing it, and watching it grow into something beautiful. Or better yet, something I can share with others” said Laura Murphy.
Every year, Laura Murphy St Charles IL starts her garden from seeds that she lovingly plants and cares for in her home, before transplanting them outside once the weather warms in spring.
“Each season, I am working on something to do with my garden. In fall, I plant hundreds of bulbs. In the winter, I plan my garden for the following spring because each year I try something new. In the spring I finally get to plant my seeds and begin caring for my garden,” said Laura Murphy.
Once spring arrives, there are a plethora of bulbs coming to life in the front yard of Laura Murphy’s home in St. Charles. Tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and crocus create a wash of color as they take over her yard. “Once the bulbs start blooming, I get to start my seeds and my whole garden starts to take shape again,” said Laura Murphy.
This year’s garden will have heirloom tomatoes, yellow peppers, carrots, eggplant, zucchini, cilantro, basil, lavender, rosemary and more. When summer comes and Laura Murphy’s vegetable garden is ready for harvesting, she enjoys enjoys sharing her bumper crop with family, friends and coworkers who look forward to the offerings each year.
