UCLA reports 2067 as the average SAT score and 30 as the average ACT score for students admitted in fall 2014 (just behind Berkeley at 2071 and 31)
UCLA reports 1950–2240 as the Mid-50% SAT (28-34 ACT). So if you score less than 2000 on SAT, your application would require significantassistance from other factors to mitigate
UCLA reports average unweighted GPA of fall 2014 admits as 3.89, and 4.17 weighted
There are no published "requirements" for extracurriculars and community service in terms of quantifiable numbers
Below are are admit rates by GPA, ACT, SAT, and honors courses completed for fall 2014 as reported by UCLA... looks pretty brutal for anyone with less than a 4.0 weighted, 2000 (650CR 700M 650W), or 15+ honors/AP courses

Card stunts are done on occasion at football games these days, such as during Homecoming. But in the 1930s, light stunts were the trademark of the UCLA rooting section. They originated in 1935, when the football team played some of its games at night. The rooting section was wired and each student given four light bulbs, each of a different color. In 1953, because the light bulbs and wiring were not only difficult to handle but expensive as well, the students developed a card similar to the type used in ordinary card stunts with eight different light filters placed in a circular pattern; each student was given a flashlight to shine through the filters.

To Whom It May Concern:
It is without any reservation that I write this letter of recommendation for Arath Jauregui for him to attend University of California, Los Angeles. Mr. Jauregui is self motivated, determined, and a hard worker. He is a very uplifted person with a strong personality. His behavior is one the best I have seen in my career as a teacher.
One of Mr. Jauregui’s many assets is his organization and ability to thrive under adversity. I suppose doing well in education is easy if you are, as he was, efficient by nature. As I have observed him under my position, I have seen him desire to better his future through his insatiable search for knowledge in order to refine his craft and sense of well-being. Mr. Jauregui’s abilities as an intelligent, collaborative thinker, along with a strong tendency towards excellence are indicative of how he is already blazing the trail of innovation and success for his future.
Mr. Jauregui is up for any challenge thrown at him only because he is always ready to learn and be better for the future. He always strives for excellence not perfection. It is without a doubt that he will benefit from attending the University and vise versa. If you would like to discuss Mr. Jauregui further, you may contact me at email@example.com, or via phone: (915) 2220-sexy-for-you.

Ever since I was in middle school, I loved designing. I fell in love with machines and computers in an instant. Classic reverse engineering has a unique power, in my opinion. With every pice, with every step, I get closer to wisdom, even though I believe I cannot consider myself to be wise having discovered how some machines and computers work. In my freshmen year in high school, I took an engineering class. It was not so much about math to me as it was about designing and analyzing machines. This is probably when I first realized that I wanted to be a computer engineer.
I have always had a passion for designing and computers. So that is why i want to be a computer engineer. Engineering involves designing and that is why i think this career is the best for me. I think computer engineering will suit me best because i’ve always had a computer at home so i know alot about computers and designing them will be very enjoyable for me.
This is why i want to be a Computer software engineer.

Good evening Elver,
I am applying for the position of Computer software engineer in response to our meeting in the career center office at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
As I mentioned before I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in computer Engineering. The Two courses in Systems Engineering that I am currently taking involve real projects that allow me to obtain a real working experience in regard to Request for Proposals (RFP’s), as well as the design process from start to finish of complex computer systems. Secondly the working experience that I have gathered from my Senior Design Project, has allowed me to obtain an invaluable knowledge of creating and designing a computer project from start to finish. During the design of the project I was chosen to be the team leader. This position came along with great challenges and responsibilities including managing work tasks, team communication, weekly & final reports, final design presentations, product demonstrations, and bill of materials.
I have noticed that computer Engineering is playing an important role in the design and development of new types of computers. I believe I am a good candidate for your program and this internship position will be a perfect opportunity for me to establish myself in an exciting career and future with Lockheed Martin. I would like the opportunity for an interview so that I can further express my interest in your company.
