As most people think yes it is cold. So cold that the temperature can reach down in the deep negatives. Some of the animals here are independent, but the population is dependent.

Limiting factors

In the polar regions is stay together or die alone. Food is hard to find in the winter. The animals have to pack up on food in summer.(Which doesn't last long about 2 or 3 months) Like polar bears they kill:fish, sea lions, seals. If one of the factors listed dies out it make storeing food harder for polar bears.

PRODUCERS: vascular plants,lichens,mosses,algae,and fungi.

CONSUMERS: caribou(herbivore),musk-oxen(herbivore),wolves(carnivore),fox(carnivore),owls(omnivore),ect.
