There are 3 different rock types. The first I will say is metamorphic rocks. Metamorphic rocks are made by heat compressing small stones together into a metamorphic rock. The second, is sedimentary rocks which are made out of layers of sediment that settled over the course of time. The third, is igneous which is made up of dried molten or lava to make igneous rocks and igneous rocks can be deadly like ash.
There are all sorts of rocks that fall under these types of rocks and my favorite so far is in the igneous type and that is cooled lava which turns into my favorite rock. Lava can cool and turn into ash which is a type of rock and it is very dust or ashy and pieces of it fall off and that can stop your breathing and suffocate you. Granite is a hard rock to crack as far as i know. Granite is found deep in the surface as far as my knowledge goes. Metamorphic rocks have shiny crystals that grow on their surface much of the time. Sedimentary is made of particles of sand, shell, pebbles, and other materials. Sedimentary rock is also soft and is will sometimes crumble and if it doesn't, it will break very easily. Some igneous rock has no crystals and the rock looks glassy and sometimes air bubbles are trapped in it so the rock can break open in a while or not in a while. When the air bubbles escape, it creates a crack in the rock it was trapped in which may cause the rock the air bubble was in t break into multiple pieces. Igneous rocks are usually cold since they have been out in the wild or in the world and also because it is COOLED magma or lava. Metamorphic rocks are really easy to break open due to how they are made and of what they are made of. Metamorphic rocks are fem compresing sand and other small stone particles. Sedimentary rocks are not just made by compressed sediment but they can be made by settled sediment over and in the different layers of earth. sedimentary rocks are made inside bodies of water like an ocean or a sea. Breccia and limestone are two different rocks but the are both sedimentary rocks. Andesite and pegmatite rocks are also different from each other but they are both igneous rocks. limestone and flint stone are both different types of rocks and since they don't fall under the same category, you can't categorize them as the same. Weathering can have a lot of different effects on the earth like moving it. Weathering means breaking down and when weathering occurs, rocks are being broken down and turned into rock dust. Erosion happens on metal things and what that means is the something being eroded is being really slowly destroyed and it can be teeth if you don't brush them or canvas if you take really bad care of it.
