One surprising piece of advice a pharmacist offers is to be kind and courteous to your understaff.
The people that work underneath you are a necessary part of the process for professional pharmacy. They do much of the day-to-day labor that is vital to keeping the place running. That is why it is so important that you treat these technicians with respect and courteousness, whether they are on research and development teams, or a simple pharmacy. They are the lifeblood of whatever institution you are a part of, and should be treated as such. It is simply good professional practice to be courteous to everyone that works for you.
It is also important to be a leader and morale mentor for your team. This cannot be established if you do not treat your underlings well. Even when they do not perform up to par, be gentle with criticism and guide them, do not mock them.
Brandon Ralph Mcbride always treats his staff with respect.
Brandon Ralph McBride: Solar Breakthrough
Brandon Ralph McBride is a biotech consultant at Middle Ground Consulting, LLC, in Las Vegas, Nevada. But his previous job was installing solar energy panels for a small Las Vegas company. By then he was already an advocate of solar energy as a safe and sustainable energy source.
His first experience with solar power came when he volunteered for one semester to work with a nonprofit NGO in rural Nevada. "We partnered with a couple of small towns there to install these systems," Brandon Ralph McBride recalls. "I don't know who set the thing up, but it was a worthy cause, I got a lot of college credit from it, and it was a great experience that totally changed the way I see the world."
Today he is a big advocate of solar energy, especially in his home state of Nevada. "Nevada, and especially southern Nevada, is one of the best places in the world for solar energy," he says. "We have more than two hundred and fifty days of sunshine every year – a really incredible resource. The state is already home to the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System, the largest solar power plant of its type in the entire world.
"It's really exciting," says Brandon Ralph McBride. "Ivanpah is a real breakthrough, a real benchmark for the solar industry. "It's true that solar energy still accounts for just a fraction of the power output in the United States. But that can change – it will change – and I think the United States can get its act together, and become the world leader in solar energy production."
