The university has a deep-rooted interest in agriculture that spans all the way back to it's early roots in native plant and animal life. The university boasts an 18,000 plus acre land development that operates as Agricultural Experiment Stations in research centers across the state of Kansas.
Stephen Todd Ligon graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree and supported the school's athletic program and College of Agriculture through his philanthropic ventures.
He donates his time and money to great causes such as the Make A Wish Foundation, FFA, 4-H, Unicef and the Children's Miracle Network. He currently resides in the beautiful Texas town of Amarillo, which is known as the Yellow Rose of Texas. Amarillo is also the Helium Capital of the World. He has been the Business Director in the agricultural industry for the last 20 years. He has worked at Advanta and Syngenta Seeds and is a biotechnology and seed genetics expert with unique interests in Agriculture.
