What is AudioNote and how does it work?
Audionote is software that allows a student to take digital notes while it records audio. Notes can be typed or written with a pen tool using the mouse or stylus on your device. There are tools to insert shapes, diagrams and photos. You may also highlight your notes. The audio is synced with the info you enter and later you simply click on the parts you wish to review and the audio will be played back to you. Lined paper, graph paper, and blank paper are all available as backgrounds. You can even import slides (as a pdf file) and take your notes directly on the slides.
- Available for Windows, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android
- Cost effective ($6 -$25 depending on platform used)
- Improves organization – digital notes are easier to store
- Reduces anxiety of missing important information
- Allows students to review specific sections of the lecture
- Students can annotate their notes with important information and examples for tests and exams
- Allows for greater autonomy by possibly replacing a peer note-taker
