Life in Chicago
More than just violence
Chicago is the third most populous city in the United States. Chicago was incorporated as a city in 1837. We have of over 2.5 million residents. Chicago is ranked as the fifth "Most Fun U.S City" in a survey conducted in 2003 by Cranium Inc. Chicago is also known as "The Windy City" because Chicago is near Lake Michigan.
I've lived in Chicago my whole life. Many people dislike Chicago because of the violence, I try to look past all that because I love Chicago even with all the flaws. You can't let the bad overrule the good. It's a beautiful city with a lot of fun places. It's several things to love about Chicago; the food, the traditions, and the many places Downtown. My favorite places are Navy Pier, Millennium Park, and The Water Tower. Those places makes Chicago the best.
Downtown and Chicago's Food
Downtown is the best place to go while in Chicago. There are so many cites to see. The best places to go while Downtown is Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and the Willis Tower. You could never get bored with all the excitement around you. At Navy Pier you can enjoy the Ferris Wheel, while at Millennium Park you can take pictures with The Bean. You can go to the Willis Tower to be amazed by the 108-story skyscraper. Downtown is full of excitement.
Downtown is also the best place because some of the most famous restaurants are down there. To me, it's like a two for one deal. You could enjoy all the cites, like Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and the Willis Tower, then, go enjoy some Chicago-style pizza from Pizano's, fresh popcorn from Garrett's Popcorn, or an Italian Beef from Portillo's. If you're ever looking for a great place to go, Downtown Chicago is the answer.
