General Robert E. Lee

Nikki Bray B4

Evidence: Lee was very honorable

Warrant 1: Even though he is a very good general, he doesn't necessarily want to fight in the war.

Warrant III: General Lee is against secession and against slavery. He is from Virginia and didn't want to go to his own state because he honors them.

The war was an unnecessary condition of affairs, and might have been avoided if forebearance and wisdom had been practiced on both side.  --- Robert E. Lee

Warrant II: Robert E. Lee always did what he needed to do. He was an honorable man because you could always count on him.

"Mr. Blair, I look upon secession as anarchy. If i owned the four million slaves in the south i would sacrifice them all to the union. But how can I draw my sword upon Virginia, my native state?"
