Mummification is the process of preserving the body for the after life
There are many steps to mummify a body . The first step is to announce the Death. Second step is the removal of the brain, okay here it gets tricky because there are 2 ways of removing the brain. The first way to removing the brain is sticking a wire hook [ it's not wire] up the nose and stir it like you're stirring a cup of coffee. The second way is you stick the wire hook up again and if it gets stuck just hit it with a block, but not to hard, then hook the brain and pull it out. The third step was the removal of the organs , but before we get there we need the slitter and the 4 punishers. The slitter's job is to cut open the left side of the stomach and once that was done then he/she was punished by the 4 punishers. The punishers would throw stones at him and banish him. Now it's time to remove the organs. The 4 organs you would pull out would be the heart, liver, intestines, and stomach. They are all placed in Canopic Jars. The forth step is drying out the body. Before that you need to stuff the body up with old rags and straw to get it's natural look. Once you've done that now you can pour Natron Salt on the body. This process takes 40 days. Fifth step is wrapping the body. You use white linen to wrap the body and between some layers of linen you would place an amulet for good luck. The sixth step is the Final Procession. It's when the body is taken away to it final resting place.
