The 13th Amendment is the Constitution, abolishing slavery in America. When the Civil War began, President Abraham Lincoln's goal was the restoration of the Union. On January 31, 1865 the house was passes the 13th Amendment. The amendment passed 119 to 56 and the amendment was sent to another states in December in 1865. ( When Abraham Lincoln became a president, he made the 13th Amendment added to the Republican Party on the upcoming election. After that it was a success and Lincoln the congressmen. When slavery ended there were no slaves in the United States. (
