HOMER

the greek version

The Greek poet Homer is famous for the poems The Iliad and The Odyssey. He was born in Smyrna, Turkey around 750 BC. Homer is considered a mystery since no one really knows exactly who he is. Some people believed that he was blind based on a character in The Odyssey, and others think that he was the educator in Greece. Homer’s poems lean more towards epic rather than lyric poetry, which was originally recited with lyre in hand. Homer is said to influence Hellas (Greece). Homer doesn't agree with violence, but realizes that its apart of people.
