A magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit Nepal in the area near Barpak, a mountain village between capital Kathmandu and a well known tourist attraction, Pokhara.
The earthquake was followed by multiple intense aftershocks.
On April 26, another Earthquake that measured a 6.7 on the Richter Scale hit Nepal.

What was destroyed and were there any fatalites?
Yes. Many historical buildings collapsed, religious temples were destroyed, and many roads were ruined. Nearly 8,000 people were killed in Nepal along with tens of deaths in Tibet and India.
